I MOVED TO LONDON

 Hey beauties I am back! 

I know you are probably wondering why I disappeared right after I confessed that big changes might come into my life, but now I can finally say it… I MOVED TO LONDON! I decided to overwrite my life and find new opportunities for my career and blog, so I made a hard decision to become a student again and get my second degree in the famous University of the Arts London (yes from which Alexander McQueen, Galliano, Colin Firth and many other talented people graduated). To be more precise I am studying Magazine Publish at the LCC (one of the colleges of the University) and this is very exciting!

What can I say? It was incredibly challenging to publish summer issue of the magazine, then have long talks with my parents convincing them to let me go, collecting all the documents, preparing portfolio, motivation letters etc. Seriously people prepare for that for a year or so and I made up my mind like in June (It was such a luck they had a place for me) and passed my IELTS without proper preparation (just made couple of tests at home the week before the actual test) and got 7.5 (I got 8.5 in Reading! So proud) and then I had to make autumn issue of the magazine… and get Tier 4 Visa which surprisingly was the most nerve wrecking bit. Please feel free to ask me any questions! I wish someone would help me when I was going through all of this, but now I hope I can help u with information :)

Right now I am living in a lovely flat in Central London (Marble Arch) with two gorgeous girls – Anna from Italy and Takmina from Cardiff and I am very happy I decided to move to London, take this risk in order to achieve bigger success. But don’t worry I am not going to drop my job at the Wedding magazine and will continue working from the distance and of course I will update my blog more often (so many photoshoots, giveaways and new experiments!). So what’s your opinion? Do you think it’s good I followed my heart and put so many things under the risk or you are against spontaneous, emotional decisions? Would love to hear from you.

Дорогие читатели, я вернулась! 

Я знаю, что многие из вас переживали почему я вдруг неожиданно исчезла сразу после того как призналась, что впереди меня ждут некие глобальные перемены, но теперь я наконец-то могу вам сказать… Я ПЕРЕЕХАЛА В ЛОНДОН! Я решила поменять свою жизнь, и попробовать покорить самые высокие «ступеньки» карьерной лестницы и добиться новых возможностей для своего блога, так что я приняла сложное решение вновь стать студенткой и получить свое второе высшее образование в знаменитом University of the Arts London (да, в том самом где учились Александр МакКуин, Гальяно, Колин Ферт и другие талантливые люди). Если точнее, то я изучаю Magazine Publishing (Публикация журналов) в LCC (один из колледжей Университета), и я чувствую, что это начало чего-то грандиозного и захватывающего!

Ну что я могу сказать? Это лето было одним из самых напряженных моментов моей жизни: публикация летнего номера журнала, потом я убеждала родителей в том, что мне нужно это образование (до сих пор не верю, что они меня отпустили. Спасибо!), затем рутинная подготовка документов, портфолио, подача заявки в университет, бесконечные motivation letters, переписка с университетом… Нормальные люди готовятся к поступлению как минимум год, а мне эта безумная мысль пришла в июне (это просто счастье, что они решили принять меня так поздно. В UAL поступает огромное кол-во заявок, так что конкуренция большая) и я сдала IELTS в дикой спешке почти без подготовки (если за подготовку можно считать парочку тестов сделанных дома). В результате я получила 7.5, а по Reading у меня вообще было 8.5, чему я была бесконечно рада. Затем я готовила уже осенний номер журнала Wedding и ждала студенческую визу, которая была моим последним и самым нервозным шагом на пути к заветной цели. Во время подготовки, мне очень хотелось, чтобы мне кто-то помог советом, временами было очень тяжело, так что если у вас есть какие-то вопросы, то не стесняйтесь, спрашивайте и я надеюсь, я смогу быть полезной :)

Сейчас я живу в очень симпатичной квартире в самом центре Лондона (Marble Arch) c двумя хорошенькими девушками – итальянкой Анной и Тахминой из Кардиффа, и я мега счастлива, что решилась на столь непредсказуемый шаг, на такой риск в надежде получить большее. Каждый момент здесь просто незабываемый! Но, не беспокойтесь, я не собираюсь бросать свой любимый пост редактора в журнале Wedding и продолжу свою деятельность на расстоянии, и, конечно же, я буду обновлять блог гораздо чаще (впереди столько фотосессий, новых конкурсов и экспериментов!). В этом посту вы найдете небольшой фотодневник моих первых недель в Лондоне. Возможно, вы видели некоторые из них на моем instagram.

Ну, так каково ваше мнение по поводу таких кардинальных перемен? Думаете это хорошо, что  последовала зову сердца, несмотря ни на что или вы не приверженец спонтанных, эмоциональных решений? Была бы рада услышать от вас! :)

WHAT I GOT FOR MY BIRTHDAY

Here are some of the presents I got for my birthday which was celebrated privately. Honestly I was just tired to throw a big bash and wanted to spend lovely evening with my close friends and relatives.

40S IN THE AIR! NAVY COAT FROM SHEINSIDE

Few days ago I received gorgeous blue coat that Sheinside online store have sent to me. It’s similar to the coat that Blair wore in one of the Gossip Girl episodes (isn’t she more adorable than Serena?) and it makes me feel myself such a lady! I immediately thought the coat would be perfect for vintage inspired look – with my favorite veil, pretty hairdo and dark blue heels that I probably was wearing too often lately. The coat have 40s silhouette, but it is more flirty because of the length. 

In this look I could go to Ascot, what do you think? ;)

Sheinside have also navy coat that looks exactly like the one Kate Middleton wore for Armed Forces Day and many other pretty clothes and accessories (I am already making a wish-list!) and… they deliver FREE worldwide! At the end of this post I showed some items from the store that I am lusting over this spring.

Несколько дней назад я получила очень хорошенькое синее пальто, которое было послано мне онлайн-магазином Sheinside. Точно такое же можно было увидеть на Блэр в одном из эпизодов «Сплетницы» (мне она гораздо милее Сирены. А, вы кому отдаете предпочтение?), и, признаюсь, в этом пальто я себя чувствую настоящей леди! Мне сразу же пришла в голову идея создать еще один винтажный образ, добавив всего лишь мою любимую вуаль, темно-синие туфли, которые я в последнее время ношу слишком часто, и, конечно же, дополнить прической (которую соорудила мама за 5 минут!). У пальто характерный силуэт 40х годов, но оно выглядит более игриво из-за длины. В таком образе я бы с удовольствием посетила бы скачки в Аскоте ;)

В Sheinside так же можно найти более строгое и элегантное пальто, очень похожее на то, в котором Кейт Миддлтон была на Дне Вооруженных Сил прошлым летом, и много других модных вещей. Больше всего радует и тот факт, что доставка бесплатная по всему миру, а то я всегда расстраиваюсь, что до Азербайджана многие online stores просто не доставляют.

NEW YEAR'S EVE LOOK & MY GIFTS

Hey beautiful people!

I am sorry for not being here for a while; I have been buried in work since the beginning of the year. But now I am full of enthusiasm (and finally have a time) to share so many things with you. This blog and you, my readers, already became very important for me and I will try my best in 2012 :)

In this post I wanted to show you my New Year’s Eve look and few shots from the night. I wore gorgeous sequin Zara dress from their Christmas Collection paired with my favorite heels bought in London. The dress is very unique, when you flip over the dark blue sequins, you can see that they’re bright turquoise on the other side, so it allows to play a bit with the pattern. Outdoor pictures were taken in front of the every fashionista’s dream store – Emporium (you might have seen the pictures from the opening of this huge multi brand store on Andy’s Stylescrapbook). I just had to take a picture with these adorable Christmas decorative balls! You can notice that I opt for slighty different make up and nail colour for the outdoor photoshoot than for actual NY party. Do you think burgundy lips look good on me?

At the end you can also see all my NY/Christmas presents. My favorite one is Jeffrey Campbell Lita Boots that I fell in love with as so many bloggers did. Can’t wait to wear them!

Простите, что не обновляла блог некоторое время - я была загружена работой в первые же дни нового года. Но, сейчас я полна энтузиазма (и наконец-то у меня есть время!), чтобы поделиться с вами новыми look'ами, фотоотчетами и неожиданными сюрпризами. Этот блог и вы, мои дорогие читатели, уже стали очень важны для меня и я приложу все усилия, чтобы 2012 год стал для нас интересным и захватывающим :)

STEPHEN WEBSTER'S MYSTERY EVENT IN BAKU

On Friday I had an honour to take part in Murder She Wrote mystery event dedicated to Stephen Webster’s new amazing jewellery collection. The press conference with Stephen and his beautiful wife Anastasia began at 18:00 (I was sitting in the first row ;) ). I couldn’t imagine that Stephen is such a cool and down to earth person and of course as you know I got a thing for everything British, so I melted when I heard his accent :D  When I reached him after the conference the first thing he told me was: I absolutely love your dress! Isn’t the most flattering compliment you can imagine to get from one of the most famous jewellery designers in the world?! We took some pictures that I will surely show you in few days!

Later guest had hors d'oeuvres, delicious desserts and a lot of champagne. By the way one of the ladies fell from the stairs and everything that was in her glass landed on my dress and my bag, so I literally had Champagne Showers :) But despite that fact I had incredible experience, enjoyed the detective game that all guest have played and was dead chuffed about Bryan Ferry’s live performance! Truly marvelous! I wanted to thank ItalDizain Group for organizing this wonderful evening and giving me opportunity to be a part of it. It was night to remember :)
