It is so cold in London tonight that I miss summer even more and these photos make me feel so nostalgic about it..  To make my day happier my friend Selene (who also happens to be the photographer of this photoshoot) invited me over to watch The Bright Star. The movie is a bit slow, but it is beautiful and about love and poetry (John Keat's). What else a girl needs on a winter night? :)

В Лондоне сегодня так холодно, что я еще больше скучаю по лету, и эта фотосессия вызывает  у меня чувство ностальгии.  Чтобы мой день не был таким грустным, моя подруга Селин позвала меня в гости посмотреть фильм Яркая Звезда. Фильм немного тянучий, но очень красивый, и он про любовь и поэзию (Джона Китса). Что еще нужно девушке в зимнюю ночь? :)

Inspiration -  The Artist movie

I am so happy to share with you new vintage inspired look, guys! I have already had few 60s and 40s retro looks on my blog, but always wanted to create an oufiit inspired by The Jazz Age. So the moment I got tickets to The Artist special screening (I have written about the event in details in previous posts and on my Facebook page) I started to plan this photoshoot, which came out pretty amazing, don't you agree? All thanks to wonderful French photographer Ben Gardi.

 Also I am grateful to Miss Selfridge for the most gorgeous dress. Honestly I never thought it would be so hard to find beautiful yet not very expensive 20s style clothes. Most of other stores offered some affordable pieces that could work, but they weren't really of a good quality. I was very impressed by Miss Selfridge's latest dress collection, so do check them out.

Also on some of the pictures you can see my good friend Edward, who perfectly adapted George Valentine's look. I actually asked him afterwards if we can go to one of the main streets and ask people with serious faces what year it is. Just to pretend we are lost in time..But he didn't support my crazy idea :)) Oh well! I still felt like a real flapper girl and so many people were approaching and complimenting my outfit or taking pictures with me. London is truly full with kind and lovely people. It was absolutely marvelous day and I am looking forward to another occasion for dressing up.

GETTING HAIR DONE AT SCHWARZKOPF

Hey my lovely readers, do you remember I was telling you that I am waiting for some changes in my life? I am still in awaiting mode and so many things are still undecided. Lately I have been struggling from an extremely bad luck: my PC suddenly became broken with all my new photoshoots and the most important – the new issue of the Wedding magazine (Luckily, I managed to get most of the files using my friend’s help and now I am working on my mum’s notebook) and I had other troubles. I really hope they’re over and now I can finally expect good things to happen ;)

Speaking about pleasant things, I found perfect beauty salon in Baku. It’s one of the world’s renowned - ASK Academy (Schwarzkopf), where you can diagnostic your hair, find full range of Schwarzkopf Professional Products (I use their hair moisturizer conditioning sprays after every shower. It’s like my beauty ritual) and of course use salon services. Trust me you will feel like a celebrity sitting in their beautiful salon, letting professional hairdressers and makeup artists to do their business. I asked my stylist Irada Mammedova to create something 60s inspired. I showed her some pictures of Cathrine Deneuve in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (you can’t imagine how I adore this film! I know all the songs by heart :) ) and some vintage inspired looks of Lana del Ray, and at the end my hair looked exactly like I wanted.

Дорогие читатели, помните я вам недавно рассказывала, что меня ожидают некоторые жизненные перемены? Я до сих в режиме ожидания, многое до сих пор не решено. В последние пару недель, мне вообще ужасно не везло: внезапно сломался мой компьютер на котором были все мои новые фотосессии, и самое главное – все материалы по новому номеру журнала Wedding (к счастью, мой друг помог мне вытащить большинство файлов, и я продолжаю работу уже на мамином ноутбуке) и были еще всякие проблемы. Я очень надеюсь, что эта черная полоса закончилась, и впереди меня ждут только хорошие новости :)

Кстати о хорошем, я наконец-то нашла идеальный салон красоты в Баку. Это один из знаменитых на весь мир ASK Academy (Schwarzkopf), где можно продиагностировать состояние волос, найти весь ассортимент продукции Schwarzkopf Professional (их увлажняющие спреи-кондиционеры я наношу после каждого мытья волос. Это мой обязательный beauty ритуал), и, конечно же, воспользоваться профессиональными салонными услугами. Поверьте, вы почувствуете себя настоящей celebrity, сидя в их красивом салоне, окруженная парикмахерами и визажистами высочайшего класса, работающих над вами. Я попросила своего стилиста Ираду Маммедову создать мне прическу напоминающую 60-ые годы. Для примера я показала несколько фотографий несравненной Катрин Денев в фильме Шербургские зонтики (вы даже не представляете, как я обожаю этот фильм! Знаю все песни наизусть :)) и некоторые из винтажных образов Ланы дель Рей. После того, как мастера закончили свою работу, я выглядела именно так, как хотела.

DAY AT KEMPINSKI THE SPA

When I was offered to try some of the treatment procedures at luxurious Kempinski Hotel 's SPA I didn’t knew what to expect. Because of my very busy daily schedule and furious tempo of life, it’s unlikely to see me spending a day soaking in a big Jacuzzi tub, having long relaxing massage and slowly drinking champagne while someone is doing my pedicure. But I was eager to try what it is like to spend a day at the country’s top SPA.

At first I was thrilled by beautiful atmosphere and by the wide range of luxury treatments that Kempinski The Spa has to offer: Thai Massage, Thermotherapy, Acupressure, Luxury Manicure and Pedicure (about 1.5 hour each!), amazing facial procedures that make your skin to glow, slimming and relaxing massages with exotic oils and so much more. But also I was impressed how friendly and professional was the staff that was treating me like a princess.

 Finally after some thinking, I decided to choose something from the Brides-To-Be package (yes they have special packages for brides, grooms and even some sensual treatments for love couples!) – body treatment and amazing massage. To be honest, I am not a great fan of massage and I don’t like when someone pinch or, for god’s sake, punch me and name this “relaxing procedure”, but massage at Kempinski Spa really made me change my mind about it. I often have stressful days and feel tension in the whole body, but after these treatments I felt so fresh and renovated that I couldn’t believe that just only couple of hours at SPA could cheer me up so much and made the stress fade away. Thank you Kempinski Hotel Badamdar for the great experience!

Когда мне предложили испытать на себе некоторые из СПА процедур в роскошном SPA отеля Kempinski Badamdar, я не знала чего и ожидать. Из-за своего постоянно загруженного графика и бешеного темпа жизни, меня тяжело представить нежащуюся часами в джакузи, затем испытывающую на себе все прелести восхитительно долгого расслабляющего массажа и лениво попивающую шампанское, пока мне делают педикюр. Но, мне было безумно интересно узнать, каково это провести день в одном из самых люксовых SPA страны.

С первого взгляда я, безусловно, влюбилась в потрясающе красивое убранство, декор и атмосферу, царящую в СПА отеля, а так же была удивлена широким спектром услуг: знаменитый Тайский массаж, Термотерапия, Акупунктура, Люксовый маникюр и педикюр (каждый длится около 1.5 часа!), потрясающие процедуры для кожи лица и тела, которые омолаживают кожу и заставляют ее светиться изнутри, тонизурующий и релакс массажы с экзотическими маслами и многое другое. Но, что меня особенно порадовало, так это насколько профессиональным и дружелюбным был персонал, которые обращались со мной как с принцессой.

В конце концов, после раздумий, я остановила свой выбор на процедурах из специального предложения для Невест (Да, у них имеются спец. предложения для невест, женихов, и даже процедуры, пробуждающие чувственность, для влюбленных новобрачных!). После  волшебного ухода за кожей, меня ждал массаж. Если честно, я не большая любительница массажа и не в восторге от всех этих щипков, или, упаси Боже, ударов и пинков, называемых «релаксирующими процедурами», но после массажа в Kempinski Spa я совершенно поменяла свою точку зрения на этот счет! Я часто подвергаюсь стрессу и чувствую напряжение во всем теле после тяжелого дня, но после этого потрясающего массажа, я стала чувствовать себя бодрой и обновленной. Настолько, что не могла поверить, что всего пару часов в SPA могут подарить столько энергии, снять напряжение и заставить исчезнуть стресс. Такой отдых должна себе позволить каждая девушка, желающая забыть об усталости и хлопотах, и мечтающая зарядиться мощной жизненной энергией и красотой. 

Выражаю благодарность отелю  Kempinski Badamdar за чудесный опыт!

VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: LATE 40S AT ARBORETUM

Hey beauties, finally I am updating the blog! I have so many things to show and tell you and also I am going to announce new contest soon. 

At the moment I am staying at my countryside house and yesterday we visited Mardakan Arboretum which is located nearby and saw the House-museum of famous Russian poet Sergei Yesenin who admired Baku with all his heart and wrote some of his significant creations here. I decided that Arboretum will be perfect place for shooting another vintage inspired look - this time reflecting late 40s fashion era with some modern twist. I bought this cute mint dress like 3 years ago at River Island, but wore it just couple of times thinking it doesn't really suits me hence I forgot about it until tomorrow! How great is to find in your old part of the wardrobe something that suddenly became extremely trendy? Click for more to see a lot of pictures!

Привет всем! Наконец-то я обновила свой блог, а ведь у меня за время отсутствия накопилось столько фотосессий и новостей, да и по секрету скажу, что скоро я обьявлю новый интересный конкурс.

На данный момент я остаюсь в загородном доме, и вчера мы посетили Мардакянский Дендрарий, который расположен рядом с ним, а так же увидели Мемориальный Дом-музей знаменитого русского поэта Сергея Есенина, который был влюблен в Баку и написал немало произведений именно в этом городе. Я решила, что Дендрарий с его садами будет идеальным местом для сьемки очередного винтажного look'а - на этот раз отражающий моду поздних 40х годов, правда в более современной интерпретации. Я приобрела это милое платьице ментолового цвета около 3х лет назад в River İsland, но надевала его всего пару раз, считая что мне оно не особо подходит, и поэтому совсем не вспоминала о нем до вчерашнего дня! Как здорово найти в забытой части гардероба что-нибудь внезапно ставшее ультрамодным, правда? :) Нажимайте на Click For More, чтобы увидеть остальные фотографии.

40S IN THE AIR! NAVY COAT FROM SHEINSIDE

Few days ago I received gorgeous blue coat that Sheinside online store have sent to me. It’s similar to the coat that Blair wore in one of the Gossip Girl episodes (isn’t she more adorable than Serena?) and it makes me feel myself such a lady! I immediately thought the coat would be perfect for vintage inspired look – with my favorite veil, pretty hairdo and dark blue heels that I probably was wearing too often lately. The coat have 40s silhouette, but it is more flirty because of the length. 

In this look I could go to Ascot, what do you think? ;)

Sheinside have also navy coat that looks exactly like the one Kate Middleton wore for Armed Forces Day and many other pretty clothes and accessories (I am already making a wish-list!) and… they deliver FREE worldwide! At the end of this post I showed some items from the store that I am lusting over this spring.

Несколько дней назад я получила очень хорошенькое синее пальто, которое было послано мне онлайн-магазином Sheinside. Точно такое же можно было увидеть на Блэр в одном из эпизодов «Сплетницы» (мне она гораздо милее Сирены. А, вы кому отдаете предпочтение?), и, признаюсь, в этом пальто я себя чувствую настоящей леди! Мне сразу же пришла в голову идея создать еще один винтажный образ, добавив всего лишь мою любимую вуаль, темно-синие туфли, которые я в последнее время ношу слишком часто, и, конечно же, дополнить прической (которую соорудила мама за 5 минут!). У пальто характерный силуэт 40х годов, но оно выглядит более игриво из-за длины. В таком образе я бы с удовольствием посетила бы скачки в Аскоте ;)

В Sheinside так же можно найти более строгое и элегантное пальто, очень похожее на то, в котором Кейт Миддлтон была на Дне Вооруженных Сил прошлым летом, и много других модных вещей. Больше всего радует и тот факт, что доставка бесплатная по всему миру, а то я всегда расстраиваюсь, что до Азербайджана многие online stores просто не доставляют.

VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: 60s

 Do you remember my 40s post, where I confessed that I am huge retro lover? I decided to continue recreating vintage inspired looks and today I’ll take you back to the sixties! Of course 60s fashion featured so many diverse trends: from mod dresses, bright prints and Twiggy’s trademark pixie haircut to sophisticated Jackie Kennedy’s tweed suits. But I opted for beehive hairstyle (for the first time in my life!), gorgeous swing coat that I found at Waggon Paris and imagined myself as Jean Shrimpton doing a photoshoot for French Vogue :)

Вы помните мой пост, посвященный наряду в стиле 40х, где я призналась, что я большая любительница ретро? Я решила продолжать создавать образы, навеянные прошлыми эпохами, и сегодня я хотела бы увезти вас в 60-ые! Конечно, шестидесятые годы богаты на совершенно разные тренды: от коротких платьишек в стиле mod, пестрых принтов и знаковой мальчишеской стрижки Твигги до элегантных твидовых костюмов Жаклин Кеннеди… Но, мой выбор пал на самую модную прическу в Париже 60х годов – Бабетту (впервые в жизни мне делали такой огромный начес!) и потрясающее пальто, найденное в Waggon Paris. В таком виде очень легко было представлять себя Джин Шримптон, снимающейся для французского Vogue :)

VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: 40s

 I have a passion for everything vintage and retro – classic cars, music of yesteryears, black & white movies and of course fashion. So when I found this fabulous Red Coat in my mom’s wardrobe, I was dying to try some vintage-inspired look. 40s and 50s are one of my favourite fashion eras. I adore all these shapely silhouettes, hats and headscarves, cat’s eye glasses… Ladylike, chic and truly feminine! In this post you will find loads of amazing pictures and my “inspiration board”. I hope you will love this look as I do :)

Я питаю огромную слабость к винтажу и ретро – классическим машинам, музыке прошлых лет, черно-белому кино и, конечно же, моде. Когда я нашла в закромах маминого гардероба этот Красный Тренч, то не могла дождаться момента, когда создам винтажный look. Моими любимыми эрами моды всегда были 40-ые и 50-ые. Я просто обожаю эти восхитительные силуэты, шляпки, вуали, платочки, очки «кошачьи глазки»… Элегантность и бесконечная женственность! В этом посту вы увидите большое количество потрясающих фотографий и несколько образов, которыми я вдохновлялась. Надеюсь этот look вам понравится так же как и мне :)

MY EDITOR'S LETTER PICTURES

I am so sorry that I haven't updated my blog for a while. I wanted to thank everyone who supports me, write comments and share their wonderful blogs with me! It makes me really happy everyday :)  I was working hard on the new issue of the Wedding Magazine and haven’t really slept like for a few days! SUNSHINE IN MY HAIR

The last week before I give the Wedding Magazine to print is always very stressful. Being the only person who is responsible for the design and the content is great, but at the same time really hard. So I have worked almost all the weekend and caught just one hour to rest in the garden, read Tess of the D’Ebervilles and make some silly photos  :D

I wove this wreath with pretty yellow flowers by myself (I am so proud of this fact :)). Having some flowers in the hair have a magical effect on me. It makes any look so cute and charming! What do you think?

DECLEOR COSMETICS & MY NUDE LOOK

I always thought that taking care of your skin is the most important thing every woman should do if she wants to stay fresh and beautiful. After meeting DECLEOR’S founder – gorgeous madame Solange Dessimoulie I got added evidence to my belief. She is such an inspiring, full of energy, beautiful woman!

For the press conference and meeting I chose to go for the “nude” look. Nude colour and blush shades are my new favorite colours in my wardrobe, so a lot of my last purchases are in this palette. What do you think about it?

Я всегда считала, что ухоженная кожа – это эссенция женской красоты. Встреча с основательницей знаменитой косметической компании DECLEOR – мадам Соланж Дессимюли, еще раз убедила меня в этом. Мадам Соланж – обладательница просто потрясающей энергетики, обаяния и девичьего задора, выглядела нереально хорошо для своих 70 с лишним лет!

Для пресс конференции и встречи с Соланж, я решила выбрать «nude look». В последнее время я все чаще стала отдавать предпочтение бежевым тонам и нежным пастельным цветам, так что многие новые вещи из моего гардероба именно этой цветовой палитры. А, что вы думаете про эти цвета и мой образ? :)
