I certainly made some important resolutions for myself (train more in the gym, blog, finally launch my magazine about culture, get MA degree with distinction, have a dream job in London), so I want you to keep your fingers crossed for me too :)

ZARA @ 28 MALL OPENING IN BAKU

 

Right before I left Baku for London, I was invited to the opening of ZARA and other stores at brand new 28 Mall. As usual Retail Group Azerbaijan organised amazing cocktail party with fashion show, performance of hot Brazilian singer Gabriella, delicious desserts and of course preview of new collection. I spotted so many beautiful items! I am actually thinking about investing in some of their dresses in 20s style and coats with studs. Also I met one of my followers at the event - drop dead gorgeous Narmina (it's hard to take eyes off her, right?). It's always so pleasant to meet my readers and other bloggers! :)

By the way life in London is super busy, but I promise to try to share everything with you! Few days ago I was invited to an amazing launch party of Bodo's Schloss and I am definitely going to write the whole post about it (the hottest spot in London now!) and yesterday I attended Karl Lagerfeld's The Little Black Jacket photographic exhibition at Saatchi Gallery. Made some pictures for you, so wait for new posts! <3

Прямо перед моим переездом из Баку в Лондон, я была приглашена на открытие ZARA и других магазинов в новом торговом центре - 28 Mall. Как обычно Retail Group Azerbaijan организовали необыкновенный вечер с fashion show, выступлением сексапильной Бразильской певицы Габриэллы, вкусными десертами и, конечно же, превью новой коллекции бренда. Я приметила столько красивых вещей! Если честно, то я просто влюбилась в платья в стиле 20х и пальто с заклепками, и подумываю прикупить все это. Так же на вечеринке я встретила одну из читательниц своего блога - сногсшибательную Нармину (правда от нее трудно отвести взгляд?) Всегда так приятно встречать других блоггеров и тех кто следит за View From Heels. :)

Жизнь в Лондоне просто невероятно быстрая, и полна событий, но я обещаю, что постараюсь делиться с вами самыми интересными update'ами! Несколько дней назад я была приглашена на эксклюзивное открытие шикарного Bodo's Schloss, и я обязательно посвящу ему целый пост, так как это место обещает стать одной из самых культовых точек ночной жизни Лондона (по секрету скажу, что это место специально открыто для принца Гарри и других royals, и туда нереально трудно попасть), а вчера я была на фотовыставке Карла Лагерфельда The Little Black Jacket в Галерее Saatchi. Cделала для вас небольшой фотоотчет, так что ждите новых постов! <3

 Here are the official pictures from the Lladro’s “Birth of flowers” that I promised to show you. Under the cut you will see the most stylish Azerbaijani girls that I spotted at the event (+my comments to their outfits) and some beautiful pieces of art created by the brand.

By the way I forgot to tell you surprising news: when I was in London I was contacted by Vogue Turkey! They wanted to arrange meeting in Baku and take the interview. I was so upset that I couldn’t make it, but I hope we will collaborate soon :) Also I started to receive a lot of letters from readers, stores and designers(!) and this makes me really happy.Thank you for your support and sorry that so often my work “steals” me from the blog. I will do my best to amaze you!

Я была просто дико расстроена, что не могла сделать этого, но я уверена, что скоро у нас будет шанс «сдружиться» :) Также я стала получать большое количество писем от читателей, магазинов и дизайнеров(!), и это не может не радовать меня. Спасибо за поддержку, и простите что работа так часто «крадет» меня от блога. Обещаю стараться удивлять вас!

NEW YEAR'S EVE LOOK & MY GIFTS

Hey beautiful people!

I am sorry for not being here for a while; I have been buried in work since the beginning of the year. But now I am full of enthusiasm (and finally have a time) to share so many things with you. This blog and you, my readers, already became very important for me and I will try my best in 2012 :)

In this post I wanted to show you my New Year’s Eve look and few shots from the night. I wore gorgeous sequin Zara dress from their Christmas Collection paired with my favorite heels bought in London. The dress is very unique, when you flip over the dark blue sequins, you can see that they’re bright turquoise on the other side, so it allows to play a bit with the pattern. Outdoor pictures were taken in front of the every fashionista’s dream store – Emporium (you might have seen the pictures from the opening of this huge multi brand store on Andy’s Stylescrapbook). I just had to take a picture with these adorable Christmas decorative balls! You can notice that I opt for slighty different make up and nail colour for the outdoor photoshoot than for actual NY party. Do you think burgundy lips look good on me?

At the end you can also see all my NY/Christmas presents. My favorite one is Jeffrey Campbell Lita Boots that I fell in love with as so many bloggers did. Can’t wait to wear them!
