SECRET EMPORIUM EVENT

 

Oh wow, I haven’t been blogging for such a long time and I don’t even know from where to start! So many photos to show and news to share with you, guys. My life has been pretty intense this year, but I am loving every single bit of it. Those of you who follow me on Instagram (@uliaali) could see where I am and what I am doing, but in few words: I still live in London, switched to MA Publishing course as I already had BA degree in Architecture and had highest grades last year on BA Magazine Publishing course in LCC, launched two magazines and one of them I am planning to make really big, was face of amazing UK online store www.smoochxoxo.com and made so many new friends and contacts that I couldn’t even possibly imagine. There are much more things to add, but I think I would rather make it as a habit to post something personal every weekend and openly talk about my life experiences, so do not miss that :)

Today I am going to show you some photos I made at the Secret Emporium Winter Edition that I attended yesterday with my beautiful Polish friend Ania. This event was showcasing the best young, independent British designers and was held in an amazing Victorian warehouse at Shoreditch. I have to say I am very happy there are such organizations as SECRET EMPORIUM that supports UK’s design talents and help them to get noticed. Majority of designers left me speechless! They are all so creative, enthusiastic and friendly and their works are gorgeous (I am definitely going to get ONLY CHILD bracelets and some of crazy hats by Piers Atkinson). Дорогие читатели, каюсь! Я не обновляла блог почти целый год, и сейчас даже не знаю с чего начать! У меня просто огромное количество фотографий и историй, которыми я хочу с вами поделиться. Этот год для меня был очень насыщенным, но я наслаждаюсь каждым мигом своей жизни. Те кто подписаны на мои посты в инстаграмме (@uliaali), примерно знают где я была и чем занималась, ну а вкратце: Я все еще живу в Лондоне, перешла на курс магистратуры MA Publishing (Издательское дело), так как  у меня уже был бакалавр Архитектуры, и самые высокие оценки на первом курсе BA Magazine Publishing в Лондонском Университете Искусств. Также я издала два новых журнала, один из которых я в дальнейшем планирую сделать своим основным проектом, стала лицом Британского онлайн магазина одежды www.smoochxoxo.com и познакомилась с такими интересными и прекрасными людьми, что сама себе иногда завидую, что у меня настолько отличные друзья. Конечно я могла бы добавить еще очень многое, но я решила, что лучше я сделаю привычкой каждые выходные делать специальный пост, где бы я делилась какими-то особыми воспоминаниями или личной информацией, так что не пропустите :)

Ну, а сегодня я вам покажу фотографии, которые я сделала на мероприятии Secret Emporium Winter Edition, которое я посетила вчера вечером с Аней – моей подругой из Польши. Secret Emporium –это организация, которая поддерживает молодых Британских дизайнеров и помогает им стать известными. На мероприятии я познакомилась с потрясающими дизайнерами, которые поразили меня своим энтузиазмом, креативностью и красивыми работами. Мне определенно хочется приобрести браслетики от Only Child и какую-нибудь сумасшедшую шляпку от Piers Atkinson. ME WITH ORNELLA MUTI AND ERMANNO DAELLI

I never in my life thought that I could ever take a picture with gorgeous sex symbol – Italian actress Ornella Muti and co-founder and designer of Ermanno Scervino – Ermanno Daelli in one day! Ornella was invited to Baku as an honorable guest of Eurovision 2012 and the day after the grand final she visited Royal Collection Boutique where this very private event dedicated also to Pasquale Bruni’s new jewelery collection was held. Her romantic partner famous millionaire Fabrice Kerherve was always near, supporting her. In her interview with journalists Ornella had noted her admiration for the culture and charming atmosphere of our city several times. She made everyone fell in love with her eternal beauty (can you imagine that she is 57 years old?!) and amazing femininity.  

Regarding to Ermanno Daelli,if you haven’t heard, Ermanno Scervino designed outfits for Azerbaijan’s Olympic Games team (you can have a look under the cut)! Seems like Olympic Games 2012 in London, will be the most fashionable games ever. From Stella McCartney’s  blue Union Jack uniform for Great Britain’s athletes to Prada and Armani for Italy and Ralph Lauren for USA, sports and fashion have strengthen their bonds.

Никогда в своей жизни не думала, что сфотографируюсь рядом с обворожительным секс-символом – итальянской актрисой Орнеллой Мути и основателем и дизайнером модного дома Ermanno Scervino – Эрманно Даэлли, и все это в один день! Орнелла была приглашена в Баку в качестве почетного гостя Евровидения 2012, и на следующий день после грандиозного финала, она посетила Royal Collection, где была проведено закрытое мероприятие, так же посвященное новой ювелирной коллекции Pasquale Bruni, поклонницей которого она является. Ее возлюбленный Фабрисио Керерве – знаменитый миллионер, был всегда рядом, и морально поддерживал свою восхитительную спутницу. В своем интервью журналистам, Орнелла призналась, что в восторге от Азербайджанской культуры, и чарующей атмосферы нашего города. Она, в свою очередь, невольно заставила всех влюбиться в свою вечную, неувядающую красоту (вы можете представить, что ей 57 лет?!) и удивительную женственность.

Что касается Эрманно Даэлли, то если вы еще не слышали, Ermanno Scervino создали дизайн нарядов для Азербайджанской команды спортсменов, принимающих участив в Олимпийских Играх этого года. Очевидно, что Олимпийские Игры в Лондоне станут самыми модными за всю историю игр. От синей формы Union Jack для Великобритании от Стеллы Маккартни  до Prada и Armani для итальянских атлетов, и  Ralph Lauren для США… Наконец-то спорт и мода еще сильнее скрепили свои узы!

RED ALERT: "OLD TOWN" LOOK

Before the weather took a turn for the worse, I managed to wear this total red look to one of my favorite places in Baku – Old City, where I visited few vintage and souvenir shops and managed to find gorgeous bracelet dated to XIX century which perfectly matched my ring from Topshop. Red colour had been everywhere this winter and so many fashionistas were choosing to wear it from head-to-toe (think of amazing Miroslava Duma in the bright red suit). But of course not everyone can pull of monochromatic outfits and I was a bit worried about going out like that. So now it’s your turn to decide whether it’s hot or not. :)

P.S. Due to freezing weather, the office is closed, so I couldn’t take my copy of new AZ magazine with YOUR pictures, beauties. I feel so bad about that, but I hope next week I will be able to finally show you the magazine spread! *fingers crossed*

Перед тем как наступили морозные дни, я успела прогуляться по одному из моих самых любимых мест в Баку – «Старом» Городе, где я так же посетила парочку винтажных магазинов и сувенирных лавок. В одном из этих милых магазинчиков я нашла старинный браслет XIX века, который идеально подошел к моему кольцу от Topshop. В тот день на мне было надето все красного цвета – от шляпки до каблучков. Этой зимой красный цвет мелькал на всех подиумах, и многие модницы решались сделать его основным и единственным цветом в своих нарядах (вспомните хотя бы самую стильную девушку Москвы – Мирославу Думу в ярко-алом костюме). Но, конечно не каждая девушка способна смело примерить на себя монохромный look, и поэтому я немного волновалась. Так, что теперь ваша очередь вынести мне вердикт: нравится или нет?

P.S. Из-за сильных морозов офис уже неделю как закрыт, так что я не смогла взять новый номер Az magazine  с ВАШИМИ фотографиями, девочки. Меня это очень расстраивает, но я надеюсь, что на следующей неделе я смогу вам показать страницы из журнала! *все дружно скрещиваем пальчики*

Я наконец-то получила официальные фотографии с потрясающей вечеринки Стивена Вебстера. Но, в этом посту я опубликую не только свои фотографии с самим Мистером Вебстером, но и покажу самые лучшие и интересные наряды, в которых блистали красавицы-модницы города Баку! Так же вы можете посмотреть первый «выход в свет» моего маленького черного платья. ;)

STEPHEN WEBSTER'S MYSTERY EVENT IN BAKU

On Friday I had an honour to take part in Murder She Wrote mystery event dedicated to Stephen Webster’s new amazing jewellery collection. The press conference with Stephen and his beautiful wife Anastasia began at 18:00 (I was sitting in the first row ;) ). I couldn’t imagine that Stephen is such a cool and down to earth person and of course as you know I got a thing for everything British, so I melted when I heard his accent :D  When I reached him after the conference the first thing he told me was: I absolutely love your dress! Isn’t the most flattering compliment you can imagine to get from one of the most famous jewellery designers in the world?! We took some pictures that I will surely show you in few days!

Later guest had hors d'oeuvres, delicious desserts and a lot of champagne. By the way one of the ladies fell from the stairs and everything that was in her glass landed on my dress and my bag, so I literally had Champagne Showers :) But despite that fact I had incredible experience, enjoyed the detective game that all guest have played and was dead chuffed about Bryan Ferry’s live performance! Truly marvelous! I wanted to thank ItalDizain Group for organizing this wonderful evening and giving me opportunity to be a part of it. It was night to remember :)
