GETTING HAIR DONE AT SCHWARZKOPF

Hey my lovely readers, do you remember I was telling you that I am waiting for some changes in my life? I am still in awaiting mode and so many things are still undecided. Lately I have been struggling from an extremely bad luck: my PC suddenly became broken with all my new photoshoots and the most important – the new issue of the Wedding magazine (Luckily, I managed to get most of the files using my friend’s help and now I am working on my mum’s notebook) and I had other troubles. I really hope they’re over and now I can finally expect good things to happen ;)

Speaking about pleasant things, I found perfect beauty salon in Baku. It’s one of the world’s renowned - ASK Academy (Schwarzkopf), where you can diagnostic your hair, find full range of Schwarzkopf Professional Products (I use their hair moisturizer conditioning sprays after every shower. It’s like my beauty ritual) and of course use salon services. Trust me you will feel like a celebrity sitting in their beautiful salon, letting professional hairdressers and makeup artists to do their business. I asked my stylist Irada Mammedova to create something 60s inspired. I showed her some pictures of Cathrine Deneuve in Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (you can’t imagine how I adore this film! I know all the songs by heart :) ) and some vintage inspired looks of Lana del Ray, and at the end my hair looked exactly like I wanted.

Дорогие читатели, помните я вам недавно рассказывала, что меня ожидают некоторые жизненные перемены? Я до сих в режиме ожидания, многое до сих пор не решено. В последние пару недель, мне вообще ужасно не везло: внезапно сломался мой компьютер на котором были все мои новые фотосессии, и самое главное – все материалы по новому номеру журнала Wedding (к счастью, мой друг помог мне вытащить большинство файлов, и я продолжаю работу уже на мамином ноутбуке) и были еще всякие проблемы. Я очень надеюсь, что эта черная полоса закончилась, и впереди меня ждут только хорошие новости :)

Кстати о хорошем, я наконец-то нашла идеальный салон красоты в Баку. Это один из знаменитых на весь мир ASK Academy (Schwarzkopf), где можно продиагностировать состояние волос, найти весь ассортимент продукции Schwarzkopf Professional (их увлажняющие спреи-кондиционеры я наношу после каждого мытья волос. Это мой обязательный beauty ритуал), и, конечно же, воспользоваться профессиональными салонными услугами. Поверьте, вы почувствуете себя настоящей celebrity, сидя в их красивом салоне, окруженная парикмахерами и визажистами высочайшего класса, работающих над вами. Я попросила своего стилиста Ираду Маммедову создать мне прическу напоминающую 60-ые годы. Для примера я показала несколько фотографий несравненной Катрин Денев в фильме Шербургские зонтики (вы даже не представляете, как я обожаю этот фильм! Знаю все песни наизусть :)) и некоторые из винтажных образов Ланы дель Рей. После того, как мастера закончили свою работу, я выглядела именно так, как хотела.

THE TRENCH COAT

I always thought that classic trench coats are extremely sexy and the right one can easily make you feel like a Bond girl or as Michael Kors ones said “putting on a trench and you’re suddenly Audrey Hepburn walking along the Seine”. 

But when I spotted models at the runways and A-list celebs wearing a trench coat with leather sleeves, I was completely smitten. Wasn’t it the perfect idea of reinventing a timeless fashion item by adding leather details that still leave elegance and romantic aura of the classic trench, but give it a modern edge?  

After browsing through the internet I finally found the ONE – my perfect trench coat with leather sleeves by Walter Baker. I must admit that I have a temptation to buy the designer’s whole collection as every piece of clothing is so gorgeous, trendy and stylish. What a godsend for fashionistas!

Я всегда считала, что классический тренч – это очень сексуальный элемент гардероба, в котором легко можно представить себя девушкой Бонда или, как однажды сказал дизайнер Майкл Корс «надев тренчкот, женщина неожиданно превращается в Одри Хепберн прогуливающеюся вдоль Сены». Но, когда я увидела моделей на подиумах и мировых знаменитостей, облаченных в тренчи с рукавами из кожи, я была просто в восторге. Разве это не прекрасная идея обновить бессмертную классику, добавив кожаных деталей, которые оставляют ауру романтичности и элегантности классического тренча, но дают ему совершенно новый ультрамодный вид?

После долгих поисков в интернете и магазинах, я наконец-то нашла ЕГО – свой идеальный тренч с кожаными рукавами от Walter Baker. Хочу признаться, что теперь у меня есть соблазн скупить всю новую коллекцию этого дизайнера, так как все его вещи очень стильные, красивые и качественные. Какая находка для всех модниц!

VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: 60s

 Do you remember my 40s post, where I confessed that I am huge retro lover? I decided to continue recreating vintage inspired looks and today I’ll take you back to the sixties! Of course 60s fashion featured so many diverse trends: from mod dresses, bright prints and Twiggy’s trademark pixie haircut to sophisticated Jackie Kennedy’s tweed suits. But I opted for beehive hairstyle (for the first time in my life!), gorgeous swing coat that I found at Waggon Paris and imagined myself as Jean Shrimpton doing a photoshoot for French Vogue :)

Вы помните мой пост, посвященный наряду в стиле 40х, где я призналась, что я большая любительница ретро? Я решила продолжать создавать образы, навеянные прошлыми эпохами, и сегодня я хотела бы увезти вас в 60-ые! Конечно, шестидесятые годы богаты на совершенно разные тренды: от коротких платьишек в стиле mod, пестрых принтов и знаковой мальчишеской стрижки Твигги до элегантных твидовых костюмов Жаклин Кеннеди… Но, мой выбор пал на самую модную прическу в Париже 60х годов – Бабетту (впервые в жизни мне делали такой огромный начес!) и потрясающее пальто, найденное в Waggon Paris. В таком виде очень легко было представлять себя Джин Шримптон, снимающейся для французского Vogue :)

Me and the new editor of the magazine Liz decided that it would be great not only highlight looks from runway and celebrities, but also show how girls use trends in real life. Therefore I am announcing this contest ;) 
The rules are simple:

2. Send me clear, high qualified picture with resolution no less 
than 900 X 1050 of yourself wearing one of the trends. 
The TRENDS for the next issue are:

VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: 40s

 I have a passion for everything vintage and retro – classic cars, music of yesteryears, black & white movies and of course fashion. So when I found this fabulous Red Coat in my mom’s wardrobe, I was dying to try some vintage-inspired look. 40s and 50s are one of my favourite fashion eras. I adore all these shapely silhouettes, hats and headscarves, cat’s eye glasses… Ladylike, chic and truly feminine! In this post you will find loads of amazing pictures and my “inspiration board”. I hope you will love this look as I do :)

Я питаю огромную слабость к винтажу и ретро – классическим машинам, музыке прошлых лет, черно-белому кино и, конечно же, моде. Когда я нашла в закромах маминого гардероба этот Красный Тренч, то не могла дождаться момента, когда создам винтажный look. Моими любимыми эрами моды всегда были 40-ые и 50-ые. Я просто обожаю эти восхитительные силуэты, шляпки, вуали, платочки, очки «кошачьи глазки»… Элегантность и бесконечная женственность! В этом посту вы увидите большое количество потрясающих фотографий и несколько образов, которыми я вдохновлялась. Надеюсь этот look вам понравится так же как и мне :)
