Dear Readers, I have exciting news to share! As a blogger and as a normal girly girl, I love finding new designers, shops and online stores. So when I stumbled upon the MOTEL online store and saw their clothes with beautiful prints, I couldn't resist and contacted them... Few days later I was kindly invited to the MOTEL showroom to check out their new collections. Obviously they didn't have to ask me twice and I took my team (photographer Ben Gardi, videographer Lambros Pantsios and my beautiful hairstylist Clare Tautz) and had amazing fun day trying on my favourite pieces and shooting in the Motel's showroom in Central London. Here are two of my favourite MOTEL outfits, but I have much more to share, so return later for new posts! You can find links to the playsuit, skirt and top at the end of the post. Have I mentioned they ship worldwide? ;)

Я как блоггер, да и как обыкновенная девушка, очень люблю находить новых дизайнеров и магазины. Поэтому когда я случайно наткнулась на онлайн store MOTEL, и увидела их модные вещички с очень нежными и женственными принтами, не удержалась и написала им... Через несколько дней бренд Motel пригласили меня в шоурум в центре Лондона, и я вместе со своей командой (фотографом Беном, видеографом Ламбросом и стилистом Клэр) провели позитивнейший день :) Конечно же я перемерила кучу вещей, и обещаю поделиться фотографиями самых любимых аутфитов, ну а пока вам на обозрение два очень летних соблазнительных наряда. Обожаю playsuits (что-то вроде коротеньких комбенизонов) в последнее время, и этот не исключение. Идеально для лета! Ссылку на него и на юбку с топом вы сможете найти в конце блога. It is so cold in London tonight that I miss summer even more and these photos make me feel so nostalgic about it..  To make my day happier my friend Selene (who also happens to be the photographer of this photoshoot) invited me over to watch The Bright Star. The movie is a bit slow, but it is beautiful and about love and poetry (John Keat's). What else a girl needs on a winter night? :)

В Лондоне сегодня так холодно, что я еще больше скучаю по лету, и эта фотосессия вызывает  у меня чувство ностальгии.  Чтобы мой день не был таким грустным, моя подруга Селин позвала меня в гости посмотреть фильм Яркая Звезда. Фильм немного тянучий, но очень красивый, и он про любовь и поэзию (Джона Китса). Что еще нужно девушке в зимнюю ночь? :)

FLOWER POWER. JARDIN BOTANIQUE

Hey everyone! At the moment I am getting through few life's challenges (I am such a rolling stone really) and not sure where this might lead me. Hope I could tell you more soon ;)

Regarding the outfit, I wore it for a quiet walk in the Baku’s Botanical Garden and for a movie night at Park Bulvar. I love the fact the whole look reminds of 70s, but still remains modern and trendy. I know many of you love my vintage inspired looks, so I might try to recreate true flower power era’s style in one of the future looks.

 By the way I was so frustrated when one of the Botanical Garden’s workers approached us and told that it’s forbidden to take any pictures there, because some of the plants are rare(?!), BUT we can pay official(!) 50 AZN fee (around 40 pounds) per hour in order to make pics. How ridiculous! Then we went to the Park Bulvar Mall where we were again stopped by one of the security officers because of taking pictures. Why is that? :(  Have you ever encountered such problems?

Привет всем! На данный момент я стараюсь решить некоторые жизненно важные задачи, которые я сама себе поставила (ну, не сидится мне спокойно! Ничего не могу с этим поделать :)), и пока не знаю, куда это меня приведет. Надеюсь в скором времени я смогу рассказать вам больше.

Что касается моего outfit'а, то я его надела для спокойной прогулки в Бакинском Ботаническом Саду и для похода в кино в Park Bulvar. Мне нравится, что весь образ напоминает о духе 70х, но в то же время остается современным и модным. Я заметила, что многие из вас особенно любят мои винтажные образы, вдохновленные различными временными эпохами, так что, возможно, в ближайшем будущем я постараюсь воссоздать истинный стиль эры flower power.

Кстати, я была ужасно расстроена, когда во время фотосессии в Ботаническом Саду, к нам подошел один из работников, и сказал, что снимать фотографии в Саду запрещено, потому что там растут какие-то редкие(?!) растения, НО мы можем заплатить официальную(!) плату в размере 50 манат (около 40 фунтов) в ЧАС и, тогда уже снимать. Какая нелепость! Затем мы поехали в ТЦ Park Bulvar, где вновь были остановлены одним из сотрудников охраны за снятие фотографий. К чему эти запреты? :(  У вас когда-нибудь возникали подобные проблемы?

NOVRUZ. SPRING HOLIDAYS!

 One of the most loved Azerbaijani holidays is Novruz, which celebrates the coming of Spring. 

People start preparing to this colourful and merry day a month prior to the actual festival! Me and my relatives celebrate it very modestly, but trust me some families put all their hearts into it: baking tones of pastries (delicious pakhlava,shekerbura etc.), decorating their houses and growing a huge samani (wheat grass) on a pretty plate.

In this post I wanted to show you some details of my Novruz holiday celebration and my favorite bouquet that I have received few days ago. It was made by Lilac Flower Boutique and I fell in love with a cute pink flowers! Are you already feeling spring in the air too? :)

Новруз – один из самых любимых азербайджанцами праздник, который ознаменует приход весны. Многие семьи начинают готовиться к этому веселому и красочному празднику аж за месяц до его начала! Я и мои близкие празднуем Новруз более чем скромно, но поверьте мне на слово, в некоторых домах этот праздник отмечают с невиданным размахом: пекут тонны сладостей (пахлава, шекербура и другие азербайджанские вкусняшки), украшают весь дом и выращивают гигантское Самани (трава на красивой тарелочке).

В этом посту мне хотелось поделиться с вами некоторыми деталями моего празднования Новруз, и показать свой любимый букет, который я получила несколько дней назад. Он был собран в Lilac Flower Boutique – новом цветочном магазине, который уже успел завоевать толпу восторженных поклонников. Я просто влюбилась в эти миленькие розовые цветочки! А, вы уже чувствуете аромат весны, витающий в воздухе? :)

WEDDING MAGAZINE: SPRING 2012

I know it’s been a while since I posted on my blog, but you have no idea how much I missed each of you! Last two weeks I have been working like a beaver, having sleepless nights choosing the right colours for the cover, writing articles, creating layouts for incredible real wedding stories and running from the business meetings to sophisticated events. But even when I am totally exhausted, I feel real happiness to have an opportunity to be a part of the glossy world, to create and to hold the complete product of my work in hands afterwards. The magazine will be on sale this Saturday, but I am giving you sneak a peek into the new issue of the Wedding magazine right now! Tell me what do you think about the cover and everything :)

Я знаю, что прошло неприлично много времени с тех пор, как я обновляла свой блог, но вы и представить себе не можете, как я скучала по нему и по каждому из вас! Последние две недели я крутилась как белка в колесе: проводила бессонные ночи, выбирая нужные цвета и заголовки для обложки, печатая статьи, создавала дизайн страниц (особенно приятно создавать странички с азербайджанскими свадебными историями), и бежала с одной встречи или мероприятия на другие. Но, даже когда я бываю полностью выбита из сил, я чувствую настоящую радость и гордость быть частью глянцевого мира, и возможность держать в руках осязаемый, конечный продукт своего труда. Новый номер будет в продаже в эту субботу, но я дам вам одним глазком взглянуть внутрь весеннего выпуска журнала Wedding прямо сейчас! BEAUTIFUL WEDDINGS: AZERBAIJAN BRIDES

What’s the point of being an editor of the Wedding Magazine and not sharing beautiful pictures of our brides on my blog? Wedding in Azerbaijan is very special and marvelous event and sometimes it can easily upstage any of those Red Carpets with its number of stunning from head to toe women, designer dresses, luxurious beverages and amount of money spent. So I decided to create this new “rubric” and from time to time show you my favorite couples, the prettiest brides and gorgeous weddings that were featured in our magazine. Do you think it’s a good idea? :)

MY EDITOR'S LETTER PICTURES

I am so sorry that I haven't updated my blog for a while. I wanted to thank everyone who supports me, write comments and share their wonderful blogs with me! It makes me really happy everyday :)  I was working hard on the new issue of the Wedding Magazine and haven’t really slept like for a few days! As you know I am an editor and art-director of the Wedding Magazine Azerbaijan, so of course I have my small picture on editor’s letter page. SUNSHINE IN MY HAIR

The last week before I give the Wedding Magazine to print is always very stressful. Being the only person who is responsible for the design and the content is great, but at the same time really hard. So I have worked almost all the weekend and caught just one hour to rest in the garden, read Tess of the D’Ebervilles and make some silly photos  :D

I wove this wreath with pretty yellow flowers by myself (I am so proud of this fact :)). Having some flowers in the hair have a magical effect on me. It makes any look so cute and charming! What do you think?
