MY EVENING GOWNS AND NEW CONTEST

Great news, beauties!

I am announcing a new contest for those who want to be featured in one of the most popular magazines in Azerbaijan – Wedding Magazine. The magazine spread will be dedicated to a wedding guest attire and it is your chance to show your style and give your top tips on looking fabulous and beautiful at your friend’s special day.

The rules are simple:

1. Follow on bloglovin

2. Send your wedding guest look pictures to ulia@viewfromheels.com  
Images should be clear, high qualified and with resolution no less
than 1000 X 1350.
3. Try also to add some short style secrets and tips regarding your outfit or something like why you think it will be suitable as a Wedding guest attire.

 The contest will be closed on AUGUST 27, so hurry up as it is a first time bloggers and fashion lovers will be published in this magazine. It is your chance to become noticeable. Please share this news with your friends and readers. I will really appreciate that <3

As for now I decided to add some of my own pictures in evening gowns from my friends’ weddings and engagement ceremonies (mostly 2011). Which one is your favorite? :)

Dear readers, I must say that I am over the moon now as I am going to jump into the plane to London in few hours! I was going to share my happiness a long time ago and prepare a post with my pictures from previous visits, but seems like I have to do it a bit later ;)

As for now I finally would love to announce the next contest for my beautiful readers! 

Have you ever dreamed to be featured in a glossy magazine? 

As you know besides working in the Wedding magazine, I write text and design pages about fashion for AZ magazine (the most popular magazine in English in Azerbaijan). Me and editor of the magazine Liz decided that it would be great not only highlight looks from runway and celebrities, but also show how girls use trends in real life. 

The rules are simple:

1. Follow on bloglovin

2. Send me clear, high qualified picture with resolution no less 
than 900 X 1050 of yourself wearing one of the trends. 
The TRENDS for the next issue are: 
a) MINT colour

b) FLORAL print

3. Send everything to my e-mail: ulia@viewfromheels.com 

The winners will be not only published in the AZ magazine, but also in my PRESS section as well (with links to their blogs)

The contest will be closed on APRIL 27, so you have plenty of time.

WEDDING MAGAZINE: SPRING 2012

I know it’s been a while since I posted on my blog, but you have no idea how much I missed each of you! Last two weeks I have been working like a beaver, having sleepless nights choosing the right colours for the cover, writing articles, creating layouts for incredible real wedding stories and running from the business meetings to sophisticated events. But even when I am totally exhausted, I feel real happiness to have an opportunity to be a part of the glossy world, to create and to hold the complete product of my work in hands afterwards. The magazine will be on sale this Saturday, but I am giving you sneak a peek into the new issue of the Wedding magazine right now! Tell me what do you think about the cover and everything :)

Я знаю, что прошло неприлично много времени с тех пор, как я обновляла свой блог, но вы и представить себе не можете, как я скучала по нему и по каждому из вас! Последние две недели я крутилась как белка в колесе: проводила бессонные ночи, выбирая нужные цвета и заголовки для обложки, печатая статьи, создавала дизайн страниц (особенно приятно создавать странички с азербайджанскими свадебными историями), и бежала с одной встречи или мероприятия на другие. Но, даже когда я бываю полностью выбита из сил, я чувствую настоящую радость и гордость быть частью глянцевого мира, и возможность держать в руках осязаемый, конечный продукт своего труда. Новый номер будет в продаже в эту субботу, но я дам вам одним глазком взглянуть внутрь весеннего выпуска журнала Wedding прямо сейчас! Пожалуйста, скажите, что вы думаете об обложке и обо всем остальном! :)

 As you know each month I write text and design pages about fashion for AZ magazine (the most popular magazine in English in Azerbaijan). Me and the new editor of the magazine Liz decided that it would be great not only highlight looks from runway and celebrities, but also show how girls use trends in real life. Therefore I am announcing this contest ;) 
The rules are simple:

1. Follow on bloglovin

2. Send me clear, high qualified picture with resolution no less 
than 900 X 1050 of yourself wearing one of the trends. 
The TRENDS for the next issue are: 
a) Bright, colourful outerwear (coats, fur, ponchos etc.)

b) And the second spread will be dedicated to your favorite purses. Send an image where you wear your most loved bag or send us a photo of the one you dream about and tell us few words why you want it so much.

The winners will be not only published in the AZ magazine, but also in my PRESS section as well.

The contest will be closed on Saturday 21, so be quick!

MY EDITOR'S LETTER PICTURES

I am so sorry that I haven't updated my blog for a while. I wanted to thank everyone who supports me, write comments and share their wonderful blogs with me! It makes me really happy everyday :)  I was working hard on the new issue of the Wedding Magazine and haven’t really slept like for a few days! I have loads of amazing pictures and news to share, so please don’t forget about me and follow on bloglovin to keep in touch.

As you know I am an editor and art-director of the Wedding Magazine Azerbaijan, so of course I have my small picture on editor’s letter page. And every time I create the new issue it’s so hard for me to choose the right one. In this post I published my pictures for the magazine, so you could see them too. Please tell me what you think and which one is your favorite? :)

At the end of this post you will also see the NEW cover of the Wedding Magazine that I designed as well! Just few people from our editorial office saw it, so my readers you’re the FIRST!
