VINTAGE INSPIRED LOOK: 40s

I have a passion for everything vintage and retro – classic cars, music of yesteryears, black & white movies and of course fashion. So when I found this fabulous Red Coat in my mom’s wardrobe, I was dying to try some vintage-inspired look. 40s and 50s are one of my favourite fashion eras. I adore all these shapely silhouettes, hats and headscarves, cat’s eye glasses… Ladylike, chic and truly feminine! In this post you will find loads of amazing pictures and my “inspiration board”. I hope you will love this look as I do :)
P.S. Which fashion decade inspires you more?
*

  27. I agree, ladies of the past look more ladylike, they paid more attention to how they dressed. I just read my old Tintin comic, about Bianca Castafiore, not sure you read that comic or not, but the character Bianca always wear lovely dresses, even when traveling. I like that in modern times pants and jeans are the norm for women, it's so much more comfortable, but I wish women didn't go TOO far and dress like men or sloppy all the time.

Anyway, I really LOVE your stockings. Wish I could wear something like those for work, but that would be too... attention-getting, hahaha! And you look really great in red, Ulia.
